A beautiful city with a wonderful waterfront district downtown. Our favorite area though is the nearby Tybee Island where you can tour the Tybee Island Lighthouse and an old fort.

In 2007, Kholoud attended Culinary training at the Coast Guard Training Center in nearby Petaluma, CA.
Dominican Republic

In 2007, Derek flew to the Dominican Republic to meet up with Kholouds Coast Guard ship which was docked for a port call. During the trip, Derek proposed to Kholoud – of course she said yes.
