Ancient Roman ruins can be found at Ba’Albak. It is truly amazing how these structures were ever built without the modern day machinery that we have today. Pictures simply don’t do justice to capture the magnitude of the size and beauty of these ruins. In ancient roman times this city
Although we have yet to explore Germany, we left the airport during a layover and ate at a McDonald’s so we are counting this on our list since we stepped on soil outside of the airport 🙂
We have been to Columbia so many times. Mostly to visit the Riverbanks Zoo but this city has a lot more to offer than meets the eye. It is a culturally diverse town with several great restaurants.

A beautiful city with a wonderful waterfront district downtown. Our favorite area though is the nearby Tybee Island where you can tour the Tybee Island Lighthouse and an old fort.
In 2007, Kholoud attended Culinary training at the Coast Guard Training Center in nearby Petaluma, CA.
In 2007, Derek flew to the Dominican Republic to meet up with Kholouds Coast Guard ship which was docked for a port call. During the trip, Derek proposed to Kholoud – of course she said yes.
