Lake Lure

A beautiful little lake town at the foot of the blue ridge mountains. We really enjoyed the times we went here. Nearby Hendersonville is another nice town with a wonderful downtown area.

Jietta Grotto, Lebanon

Jietta Grotto, a world famous cavern not far from Beirut. There is an upper cavern where you can walk around and a lower cavern accesible via a boat road. You cannot visit Lebanon without going to Jeitta, it is stunning.

Ajaltoun, Lebanon

We visited an attraction here called Dino City. The kids really enjoyed seeing the large dinosaurs.

Deir al-Qamar

Another gorgeous small town in the mountains of Lebanon. This is one of the prettiest little towns and everytime we come here we eat at our favorite little ice cream shop.

Baakline, Lebanon

Kholoud was born in Baakline. A beautiful small town with friendly people everywhere. Our favorite place to eat by far is Abou Samir’s hamburgers and fries. For a relaxing time you can’t beat a visit to Nahar (river) Baakline. The water is crystal clear and you can eat right along

Beiteddine Palace

A beautiful palace just minutes from Kholoud’s hometown of Baakline. We stop here everytime we visit Lebanon.

An amazing castle that is just minutes from Kholoud’s hometown. The castle was built by a man after his teacher beat and ridiculed him after he drew a picture of a castle during his class. That incident stuck with him his entire life and he worked to build a true
